From record-breaking speed to stroller-paced joy, Gqeberha’s 10K was a celebration of every kind of runner—and the unstoppable spirit of community.
Not even grey skies or a drizzle of rain could dim the electric energy of Gqeberha on Sunday, as the coastal city proudly launched the first leg of the 2025 Absa Run Your City 10K (Gqeberha series) in unforgettable style.
From world-class athletes smashing national records to families soaking in the sea breeze on leisurely strolls, it was a day that celebrated community, endurance, and the pure joy of movement. Thousands gathered along the stunning beachfront, proving once again that this race is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of South Africa’s spirit, unity, and unstoppable stride.

One of the most beautiful aspects of the Absa Run Your City 10K is its inclusivity. People of all backgrounds, all fitness levels, and all walks of life ran side-by-side—united by purpose, pride, and motion.
