Kaizer Chiefs keeper Brandon Petersen on two ‘cup finals’

Kaizer Chiefs have two more cup finals according to goalkeeper Brandon Petersen, referring to their remaining Betway Premiership fixtures.

Amakhosi are fresh from ending a decade long trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup in Durban and the weekend, beating rivals Orlando Pirates 2-1 at a packed Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Chiefs have had a few days now to soak it all up but must still win against Sekhukhune United this Saturday and Polokwane City on the final day of the 2024/25 season to make the top eight.

Petersen has stressed the importance of the two games.

"A 100 percent and I think we have two cup finals left. You know, we want to finish this season on a high. We want to end in the top 8 so we have more trophies, more silverware to play for next season, so I mean we'll celebrate tonight and then tomorrow it's back to work for those two cup finals," Peterson said.
