Braam Culture Fest is back and bigger than ever for 2025, set to transform Constitution Hill, Braamfontein, into Johannesburg’s ultimate urban lifestyle and music hub on September 6.
Founded by Siyabonga Mahlangu (Sbosh Deejay) and Khona Mdaki, the annual festival celebrates the city’s vibrant street culture by showcasing a diverse line-up of talent in amapiano, hip-hop, gqom and Afrohouse.
Headliners such as Thulani Way, Fresh by Caddy and Khuzani will share the stage with rising stars including TBO, Shaun Stylist, Mark Khoza and 031 Choppa.
With three stages highlighting everything from mainstream hits to underground sounds, Braam Culture Fest aims to capture the energy and creativity of Johannesburg’s urban scene.
“This is more than a music festival — it’s a platform for cultural exchange,” said Siyabonga.
The festival also celebrates Braamfontein’s reputation as the city’s creative heartbeat, integrating fashion showcases, sneaker culture activations, art installations and a food village serving gourmet street eats and township favourites.
Supported by the sport, arts and culture department, Braam Culture Fest continues to uplift creatives and small businesses, contributing to Johannesburg’s cultural and economic vitality.
